Resources for Patients and Caregivers
Getting better, faster after surgery is a priority for most patients. If they need to stay in hospital, they want it to be as short a time as possible. And they want to have a positive experience with the healthcare system throughout their surgery journey.
Enhanced Recovery Canada™ (ERC) gives patients and the people who support them tools to help achieve all of these outcomes.
Our patient booklets and animated resources explain how to prepare for surgery and what you can do to feel better and safer, in the hospital and at home. The resources include instructions on things like eating and drinking, physical activity and controlling your pain and nausea.
Supported by information that helps you take an active role in your surgery and recovery process, you can heal faster, safer and easier.
