Criteria for Inclusion on Patient Engagement Resource Hub 

These criteria were co-developed and co-designed in Spring 2021 by an advisory group of patient partners co-chaired by HEC staff members. The group’s purpose was to review the Hub and revise and update these criteria.

For each resource, the answer is ‘yes’ to the following questions: 

1. Does this resource support patient engagement at the organizational/governance or policy making level? This includes engagement at the meso level (Education, Research). 
2. Is this resource directed at the intended audience? (Patients, families, care partners, healthcare partners) This specifically refers to an engagement audience: those that are involved in engagement at meso/macro levels. Not at the direct level of care but connected to processes and programs. 
3. Is this a supportive resource to advance and further patient engagement across healthcare systems? (E.g., supportive of engagement practices)
