Community Engagement Framework - Vancouver Coastal Health

This Framework is intended to provide a better understanding of the broad practice of community engagement. It offers an overview of how engagement can assist managers and staff in meeting their responsibility to respond to community and patient needs to improve clinical quality and health outcomes. Vancouver Coastal Health frames community engagement as a seven step process: Frame, Design, Recruit, Do, Analyze, Implement, Finish. Each aspect is described and discussed and VCH outlines possible ways that each step can be met in order to create a successful system of community engagement.
