Healthcare Excellence Canada (HEC) is pleased to welcome two staff into new roles on our senior leadership team.
Christine LaRocque will step into the newly created position of Vice-President, Organizational Performance and Corporate Services. HEC also welcomes Sutton Eaves as our new Executive Director, Communications and Marketing.
On June 1, Christine moves from her current role as Executive Director, Organizational, Planning, Delivery and Performance to Vice-President, Organizational Performance and Corporate Services. Christine has more than 20 years of diverse experience in communications, stakeholder engagement and organizational planning. In her new position, she will continue leading organizational planning and performance initiatives while also overseeing an evolved portfolio of corporate services. This newly expanded department will play an essential role in strengthening HEC’s operations to deliver programs that support health system improvement.
Sutton has taken on the role of Executive Director, Communications and Marketing, after serving as HEC’s Manager of Enterprise and Digital Marketing for over a year. Sutton brings extensive experience in communications strategy and leadership for non-profit organizations and is also a former journalist. In leading the communications and marketing department, she guides efforts to deepen engagement with HEC’s audiences and amplify promising practices that improve healthcare quality and safety.
“Christine and Sutton bring strong experience as organizational leaders at Healthcare Excellence Canada and beyond,” said Jennifer Zelmer, President and CEO of HEC. “They also share a deep commitment to working with partners to shape a future where everyone in Canada has excellent care. I know I speak for everyone at HEC when I say we’re delighted they will guide our work in new ways going forward.”
Other roles on the senior leadership team are also evolving to meet our emerging needs.
