Salary Range: $66,697 - $83,372 - $100,046 (Typical hiring range: $71,000 - $79,000)

The Program Lead supports the planning and delivery of HEC’s programs, collaborative education, policy knowledge products, and improvement initiatives; conducts literature reviews and environmental scans, evaluation, and analysis (including data analysis and interpretation); prepares reports, briefing notes, and other program documents; and provides project management leadership for meetings and events.
This portfolio catalyzes policy improvements in health systems through supporting health leaders and government decision makers to navigate complex policy problems using a variety of innovative methods. The Health Policy team (HPT) works with HEC programs and collaboratives to develop internal capacity and knowledge about applying a policy lens to program work in order to identify policy enablers and barriers, as well as potential opportunities to support policy change. The HPT supports Federal/Provincial/Territorial policy makers individually and as a collective, and various networks to focus on shared-priority issues. The HPT convenes individuals and organizations for policy labs and dialogues on identified policy topics related to HEC strategy that can be spread and scaled across Canada, such as Incident Management Guidelines, health human resource challenges, and strategies to improve access to care.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Supports the project management of HEC’s programs and policy engagement events, including design and delivery of project timelines, milestones, activities, tracking, and monitoring to ensure proper follow up and completion of deliverables.
- Works with team members, and external partners, to design and deliver program curriculum and engagement events, including virtual, in-person, and hybrid workshops.
- Conducts regular analyses of team participation and deliverables including attending webinars and education sessions.
- Monitors, analyzes, synthesizes, and/or creates summary reports of deliverables.
- Participates on calls connected to program area; maintains meeting minutes with concise summaries and action items.
- Assists with the development of improvement resources, products and tools that facilitate the delivery of HEC’s improvement approach to its improvement teams and partners.

Education and experience you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare improvement, health policy, public health, epidemiology, community health, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years progressive experience is required.
- Bilingual in French and English is preferred (English communication skills at Advanced “C” level required).
