Webinar Series: Sparking Change in the Appropriate Use of Antipsychotics
Although antipsychotics are often prescribed to manage responsive behaviours associated with dementia, there are many potential risks associated with inappropriate antipsychotic use for those without a diagnosis of psychosis. Person-centred care strategies are often a safer alternative to address the root causes of responsive behaviours and improve the experience of care for residents, care partners and providers.
Join us for a webinar series that shares quality improvement strategies related to HEC’s appropriate use of antipsychotics approach and provides guidance on enhancing person-centred care in long-term care.
